House fire - St Ives - Huntingdonshire

At 9.38pm on Friday (6) crews from Huntingdon, Cambourne, Sawtry and the Turntable Ladder from Cambridge were called to a house fire on Houghton Road in St Ives.

Firefighters arrived to find a well-developed fire affecting the first floor and roof.

The A1123 was closed until around 2am as crews dealt with the fire using hose reels and the aerial appliance to apply water onto the fire from height.

Crews returned to their stations by 5.30am.
