House fire - Doddington - Fenland

At 5.38pm on Thursday (12) crews from Chatteris, March and Ely along with the North Roaming Fire Engine were called to a house fire on Fen View in Doddington.

Firefighters arrived to find a car fire which had spread to a derelict house. Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters used hose reels and a jet to extinguish the fire and cleared the smoke using a positive pressure ventilation fan.

Crews returned to their stations by 8pm.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
