Building fire - Leverington - Fenland

At 1.38am six fire engines from Cambridgeshire and Norfolk and an aerial appliance were sent to a report of a fire in a pub in Leverington. The fire had started on the first floor and spread to the roof. Firefighters tackled the fire using four hose reels and an aerial appliance and the fire was out by 4.45am. Two people were taken to hospital for a precautionary check having suffered smoke inhalation. The cause of the fire was accidental. Crews had all left the scene by 5.25am.
