Garage fire - Eastrea - Fenland

At 9.32pm on Wednesday (29) crews from Stanground, Whittlesey and Thorney were called to a garage fire on Wype Road in Eastrea.

The crews arrived to find a garage well alight with the fire spreading to a neighbouring garage. Wearing breathing apparatus firefighters used hose reels to extinguish the fire and returned to their stations by 12.25am.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
