Electricity pylon fire - Wisbech - Fenland

At 11.50am on Thursday (22) crews from March and Wisbech, alongside a crew from Norfolk were called to a fire on Oldfield Lane in Wisbech.

Firefighters arrived to find an electricity pylon on fire. The fire then spread to nearby hedging, trees, tyres and rubbish at a neighbouring scrapyard, and a garage.

They used hose reels to extinguish the fire, and returned to their stations by 3.06pm.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
