Fire in the open - Fen Ditton - Cambridge

At 3.09pm on Thursday (22) crews from Cambridge were called to a fire on Horningsea Road in Fen Ditton.

Firefighters arrived to find a stack fire well alight which was then spreading to field stubble.

They used hose reels and small gear to extinguish the fire.

Crews returned to their stations by 8.41pm. They made regular inspections overnight and this morning to make sure the area was safe and the fire was fully out.
