Fire in the open – Wilburton - East Cambs

At 2.52pm on Thursday (3) crews were called to a fire on Pools Road in Wilburton. 

Crews from Ely, Cottenham, Huntingdon and Chatteris, along with the misting unit from Burwell and crews from Newmarket in Suffolk, attended the incident. 

Firefighters arrived to find a fire involving around 50 square metres of field. They extinguished the fire and prevented it from spreading further. 

The crews returned to their stations by 6pm
