House fire – Kings Hedges ward - Cambridge

At 9.18pm on Sunday (6) crews from Cambridge were called to a fire on Armitage Way in Kings Hedges ward, Cambridge. 

Firefighters arrived to find a fire in the kitchen of a house. Wearing breathing apparatus they extinguished the fire using hose reels and a jet, clearing the smoke using a positive pressure ventilation fan. 

The property was safely evacuated when the crews arrived. 

The crews returned to their stations by 10.45pm. 

The cause of the fire was accidental.
