Fire in the open – Fordham - East Cambs

At 5.01pm on Monday (7) a crew from Ely, along with the south roaming fire engine and crews from Newmarket in Suffolk, were called to a fire on Mildenhall Road in Fordham. 

Firefighters arrived to find a fire involving hay bales in a barn. They extinguished the fire and returned to their stations by 7.30pm. 

The cause of the fire was accidental.
