House fire – West Town - Peterborough

At 11.20am on Friday (26) the north roaming fire engine and a crew from Stanground were called to a fire on Regency Way in West Town, Peterborough.

Firefighters arrived to find a fire in the first floor bathroom of a house. Wearing breathing apparatus they extinguished the fire using a hose reel and cleared the smoke using a positive pressure ventilation fan. They returned to their stations by 12.45pm.

The property was safely evacuated when the crews arrived.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
