Flat fire - Dogsthorpe - Peterborough

On Wednesday (29) at 8.09pm, crews from Stanground, Dogsthorpe and Peterborough Volunteer Fire Brigade were called to a flat fire on Myrtle Avenue, Peterborough.

Crews arrived to find fire in a flat on the first floor of the property. Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters used hose reels and a jet to extinguish the fire, before using a positive pressure ventilation fan to clear the smoke.

Crews returned to their station by 10.40pm.

An investigation will take place to determine the most likely cause of the fire.
