Road traffic collision – A47 - Fenland

At 2.47pm on Saturday (31) crews from Wisbech and March were called to a road traffic collision on the A47. 

Firefighters arrived to find a collision involving a bus and a car between Guyhirn and Wisbech. The car caught fire following the collision.  

Working with police and ambulance colleagues, the crews made the area safe and provided help to more than 20 casualties, with five requiring hospital treatment.  

Sadly one casualty died at the scene.  

The crews returned to their stations by 6pm.
