Barn fire - Bassingbourn - South Cambs

At 12.02pm on Tuesday (4) around 30 firefighters were called to a barn fire on Fen Road in Bassingbourn.

Crews from Gamlingay, Cambridge and Huntingdon, along with the south roaming fire engine plus crews from Royston and Baldock in Hertfordshire, and the water carrier from Newmarket in Suffolk, attended the incident.

The crews arrived to find a tractor fire which had spread to a barn and adjacent building. Wearing breathing apparatus firefighters hose reels to extinguish the fire before returning to their stations by 4.10pm.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
