Waste fire - Milton - South Cambs

At 4.30pm on Tuesday (18) crews were called to a fire on Butt Lane near Milton.

Around 20 firefighters, including crews from Cambridge, Cottenham, Ely and Huntingdon, along with the south roaming fire engine and a water carrier from Newmarket in Suffolk, attended the incident.

Firefighters arrived to find a fire involving waste at a landfill site. They extinguished the fire using jets and prevented further spread. 

The crews returned to their stations by 9pm and made regular inspections throughout the night to ensure the fire was full extinguished.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
