House fire – Alwalton - Peterborough

At 3.59pm on Wednesday (24) crews from Stanground and Dogsthorpe were called to a fire on Oundle Road in Alwalton. 

Firefighters arrived to find a fire involving a dishwasher in a detached house. Wearing breathing apparatus they extinguished the fire using a hose reel and cleared the smoke using a positive pressure ventilation fan. 

The crews returned to their stations by 5pm. 

The cause of the fire was accidental.
