Building fire – Dogsthorpe - Peterborough

At 4.31pm on Thursday (16) crews from Dogsthorpe, Stanground, the Peterborough Volunteer Fire Brigade and Whittlesey, along with the north roaming fire engine, were called to a fire on Welland Road in Dogsthorpe, Peterborough.  

Firefighters arrived to find a fire in an industrial building involving machinery. Wearing breathing apparatus they extinguished the fire using hose reels and cleared the smoke using a positive pressure ventilation fan. They returned to their stations by 6.30pm. 

The cause of the fire was accidental.
