Building fire – Alconbury - Huntingdonshire

At 2.22am on Friday (31) crews were called to a fire on Alconbury Weald in Alconbury. 

Crews from Huntingdon, Sawtry and Stanground, along with the water carrier from Ramsey, attended the incident. 

Firefighters arrived to find a well-developed fire in a building, which was heavily smoke logged. Wearing breathing apparatus they extinguished the fire.  

Crews maintained a presence throughout the night and following day to ensure the building was safe.  

The cause of the fire was accidental.
