Fire in the open – Turves - Fenland

At 4.20pm on Tuesday (23) a crew from Stanground was called to a fire on Turf Drove in Turves.  

Firefighters arrived to find a fire in the open involving pallets spreading to tyres and a hay stack. With help from farmers they extinguished the fire using a hose reel and returned to their station by 5.50pm. 

The cause of the fire was accidental.
