Building fire – Melbourn - South Cambs

At 6.52am on Wednesday (7) a crew from Cambridge, along with crews from Baldock and Royston in Hertfordshire, were called to a fire on Saxon Way in Melbourn.

Firefighters arrived to find a fire in an industrial building, which was heavily smoke logged. Wearing breathing apparatus they extinguished the fire using a hose reel and cleared the smoke using a positive pressure ventilation fan. The crews returned to their stations by 12pm.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
