House fire – Soham - East Cambs

At 7.28am on Sunday 30 July crews from Ely and Burwell were called to a house fire on Bushel Lane in Soham.

Wearing breathing apparatus, they used a hose reel to extinguish the fire and cleared the smoke using a positive pressure ventilation fan. A male casualty was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation and burns, and left in the care of ambulance crews.

Crews returned to their stations by 9.25am.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
