Fire in the open - Thriplow - South Cambs

Crews from Cambridge and the south roaming fire engine were called to a stack fire on Gravel Pit Hill in Thriplow.  

Firefighters arrived to find a fire involving around 300 tonnes of straw. Crews assessed the situation and left the fire to burn out under supervision of the owner. Crews regularly inspected the site over the next two days to ensure the fire hadn’t spread and the area was safe.
