Building fire - Market Ward - Cambridge

At 12.44am on Monday (16) crews from Cambridge and Cottenham were called to a building fire on St Mary’s Passage in Cambridge.

Firefighters arrived to find a tumble dryer on fire. Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters used a hose reel to extinguish the fire and cleared the smoke using a positive pressure ventilation fan.

Crews returned to their stations by 2am.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
