Car fire - A47 - Fenland

At 4.45pm on Monday (27) crews from Wisbech and March were called to a car fire following a road traffic collision on A47 between Thorney and Guyhirn.

Firefighters arrived to find a collision between two vans and a bus. One of the vans subsequently caught fire which then spread to the secondary van and bus. Wearing breathing apparatus firefighters used hose reels to extinguish the fire before returning to their stations by 6.10pm.

The bus was safely evacuated when the crews arrived.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
