Animal rescue - Longthorpe - Peterborough

At 8.38am on Saturday (20) a crew from Dogsthorpe was called to an animal rescue in Thorpe Meadows in Peterborough.

Firefighters arrived to find a swan which had become stuck in ice. Using an ice rescue path, the crew freed the swan and released it into an unfrozen section of the lake.

The crew returned to their station by 10.20am.
