House fire - Harston - South Cambs

On Thursday (31) at 9.20pm, crews from Cambridge (including the aerial appliance), a crew from Cottenham and Gamlingay were called to a house fire on Queen’s Close, Harston.

Firefighters arrived to find smoke coming from the house, with fire spreading to the roof.

Firefighters used hose reels and a covering jet to extinguish the fire.

Crews returned to the station shortly after 12am. The  property was reinspected for hotspots later in the morning.

A fire investigation will take place to determine the most likely cause of the fire.
