Hay bales - Comberton - South Cambs

On Thursday (20) at 11.49am, a crew from Cambridge was called to a fire involving hay bales on Barton Road, Comberton.

Crews arrived to find a stack fire that had spread to wood chippings and tyres, and a large smoke plume coming from the area.

Firefighters worked with the onsite farmer to monitor the incident and used hose reel jets and machinery to extinguish the fire.

Crews reinspected the incident later in the evening and the following day.
