Lorry fire - Whittlesey - Fenland

On Monday (24) at 7.46am, a crew from Dogsthorpe and a crew from Stanground were called to a lorry fire on Peterborough Road, Whittlesey.

Crews arrived to find a mobile crane on fire in close proximity to houses.

Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters used hose reels to extinguish the fire.

There were no casualties.

The road is likely to be closed for some time due to a fuel spill.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
