Vehicle fire – city centre - Peterborough

At 7.59am on Wednesday (31) crews from Dogsthorpe and Yaxley were called to a fire on Thorpe Lea Road in Peterborough city centre.  

Firefighters arrived to find a fire involving a lorry carrying shredded paper and extinguished it using a hose reel. They returned to their stations by 8.55am. 

The cause of the fire was accidental.
