Fire in the open – Holme - Huntingdonshire

At 3.31pm on Saturday (10) crews were called to a fire at Holme Fen Nature Reserve.  

Crews from Sawtry, Huntingdon and Dogsthorpe, along with the north roaming fire engine and the water carrier, attended the incident.  

Firefighters arrived to find a fire in the open. They worked hard throughout the night and following days to extinguish the fire and make sure the scene was safe, making regular inspections.  

The cause of the fire was accidental.
