House fire – Steeple Morden - South Cambs

At 9.34am on Sunday (25) crews were called to a fire on Hay Street in Steeple Morden.  

Around 30 firefighters including crews from Royston in Hertfordshire, March, St Neots, Huntingdon and the south roaming fire engine initially attended the incident.  

Firefighters arrived to find a well-developed fire involving a bungalow. Wearing breathing apparatus they extinguished the fire using hose reels and jets. 

The crews returned to their stations by 3pm.  

The cause of the fire was accidental.
