Fire in the open – Ailsworth - Peterborough

At 5.30pm on Sunday (24) a crew from Dogsthorpe was called to a fire on Helpston Road in Upton near Ailsworth.

Firefighters arrived to find an unattended bonfire spreading to around 30 square metres of vegetation. They extinguished the fire using a hose reel and returned to their station by 6.45pm.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
