House fire – Stretham - East Cambs

At 10.09pm on Sunday (26) crews from Ely and Cottenham were called to a house fire on Akeman Close in Stretham. 

Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters used hose reels and a jet to extinguish the fire and cleared the smoke using a positive pressure ventilation fan. 

The crews returned to their stations by 1am. 

The cause of the fire was accidental.
