Road traffic collision – A14 - Huntingdonshire

At 1.53am on Wednesday (11) crews were called to a road traffic collsion on the A14 between junction 16 and 17.  

Crews from Huntingdon, Sawtry, St Neots and Kimbolton, along with a crew from Thrapston in Northamptonshire, attended the incident.  

Firefighters arrived to find a car well alight having collided with the central reservation. Wearing breathing apparatus they extinguished the fire using a hose reel.  

A casualty sadly died at the scene. 

The crews returned to their stations by 4am.
