Dogsthorpe fire station is one of two wholetime stations in Peterborough. It is staffed 24/7 by firefighters who operate a rescue pump and a rescue vehicle. There are four watches at Dogsthorpe - Green, Red, Blue and White.

There are also members of the business support group, fire protection and community fire safety teams based here.

The Service's Driver Training team and fleet and equipment group are based at Dogsthorpe. The Fleet and Equipment team includes the workshops where appliances and other vehicles are taken for maintenance and repair.

The station commander is Richard Boston.
