Building fire – Wisbech - Fenland

At 5.40pm on Sunday (12) crews were called to a fire on Wisbech Market Place. 

More than 20 firefighters, including crews from Wisbech, March and Stanground, along with crews from West Walton and King Lynn in Norfolk, attended the incident.  

Firefighters arrived to find a fire in the roof of a four-storey mid-terrace building. They extinguished the fire using hose reels and returned to their stations by 8.50pm. 

Crews made regular inspections throughout the night and the following morning to ensure the fire was fully out and the area was safe.  

The cause of the fire was accidental.
