Tractor fire - Meldreth - South Cambs

At 1.19am on Monday 14 August crews from Royston (Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Service) and Cambridge were called to a tractor fire on Fenny Lane in Meldreth.

Firefighters arrived to find a tractor well alight as well as a baler, an acre of stubble and two tonnes of baled straw on fire. Wearing breathing apparatus firefighters used a hose reel and fog spike to extinguish the fire before returning to their stations by 4.58am.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
