Council Tax information

Information about how council tax is spent by the Fire Authority is published and available to residents in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. The information summarises the financial position and priorities of the Authority for that financial year and provides a breakdown of council tax rates.

These are currently produced by Peterborough City Council but the information remains the same for residents in Cambridgeshire.

The Budget Book provides a detailed break-down of the budget for the current financial year and shows how it will be funded.

Efficiency Plan

Listed below are links to the Productivity and Efficiency reports.

Statement of Accounts

Each year we publish sets of accounts. These documents explain our financial performance over a given financial year, which always runs from April 1 to March 31.

To view the Authority's Annual Statement of Governance, please click here.

Please note for the financial statements for 2023/24, although they have undergone a financial audit, the audit was incomplete.  The backstop date issued by the Government for the 2023/24 financial statements has resulted in the external auditors not having had the time or resources available to fully complete all their audit tasks, in particular verifying the brought forward balances from 2022/23.

Please see link below for the audited Statement of Accounts for 2023/24

Listed below are links to the Statement of Accounts documents for the previous five financial years.

Please note for years 2021/22 and 2022/23, due to the national backlog of financial audits in the public sector the Government imposed tight backstop deadlines to clear this backlog, our auditors have not had sufficient time to complete their full assessment of the audit evidence. In these circumstances, they have not been able to give an unqualified audit opinion. The auditors have explained this is because their full assessment has not been done and is not due to any concerns with our financial statements.
