Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Fire Authority is responsible for providing an efficient and effective fire and rescue service. It achieves this through:
- Agreeing a strategic plan and annual budget
- Monitoring and reviewing performance and spending against its plans.
The budget is prepared for the medium term (the next five years) taking into account predicted income from council tax and government funding.
The Fire Authority approves the budget at the February meeting of the Fire Authority each year.
More detail on the annual Fire Authority budget can be found in the council tax leaflets, or for a look at the previous year's budget and spend, see the Annual Report and Statement of Assurance for that year. These documents can be found on the Financial documents page.
